Mongolia to Expand Health Cooperation with South Korea

Ulaanbaatar, January 30, 2026 /MONTSAME/. Minister of Health of Mongolia Chinburen Jigjidsuren has met with Vice Minister of Health and Welfare of the Republic of Korea Lee Hyung-hoon to exchange views on future cooperation.

 

The two sides determined the direction of bilateral health cooperation and agreed to revive and organize the annual Ministerial Consultative Meeting in March in Seoul. In addition, discussions were held on key topics, including the provision of support to citizens receiving medical care and services in South Korea, and certain measures were agreed to be taken.

 

In line with the increased number of Mongolian citizens receiving medical care and services in South Korea, the two sides agreed to focus on improving cohesive cooperation. Moreover, discussions were held on matters such as expanded cooperation in including Mongolian doctors and medical professionals in short, medium, and long-term training in South Korea, and quality medicine and medical equipment supplies.

 

Minister of Health Chinburen is paying a visit to the Republic of Korea from January 28 to 30, 2026. Within the framework of the visit, the Minister is working at South Korea’s National Health Insurance Service and Health Insurance Review and Assessment Service.
