Mongolian Kids Succeed at 2026 Mental Math Global Cup

February 5, 2026 /MONTSAME/. A total of 28 students aged between 7 and 15
successfully participated in the 2026 UAAA Global Cup Abacus Mental Arithmetic
Championship, held in Los Angeles, United States, on January 18, 2026.
In the 14+ age category, Tergelduuren
Tsogzol, a 10th-grade student at School No.1 of Ulaanbaatar, won Grand Champion,
and Naranbat Erdemtelekh, an 8th-grader at Merged School of Uvurkhangai aimag,
won the Champion title. In addition, the Ministry of Education reported wins of
three gold, three silver, two bronze medals, as well as 12 gold, one silver,
and five bronze cups, and four Champion awards, three gold medals, four silver,
and one bronze in the Flash Mental section.
All the
athletes belong to the Toya Children’s Development Academy, which trained 64
students for the 27th UCMAS World Cup 2025, held in December 2025, in Tbilisi,
Georgia, where all participants won medals.
