Ulaanbaatar, February 9, 2026 /MONTSAME/. Summary of events for the week of February 9-15, 2026.

 

Events in Ulaanbaatar:

February 9: The Tsagaan Sar junior wrestling tournament will take place at the Wrestling Palace.

February 9-12: Speaker of the State Great Khural Uchral Nyam-Osor will pay an official visit to the Russian Federation at the invitation of the Chairman of the State Duma of the Russian Federation, Vyacheslav Volodin.

February 10: The Corruption Perceptions Index will be officially published.

February 10: The Tsagaan Sar wrestling tournament, named after the Tarvalin monastery, will take place among soum title holders and junior wrestlers.

February 11: The National Green Lab Program opening event will be held at the State Palace.

 

 

February 11: The Tsagaan Sar wrestling tournament for holders of aimag, military nachin, and hartsaga titles will be held.

February 11-15: The classical play “Anna Karenina” by L. N. Tolstoy will be performed at the Mongolian State Academic Drama Theatre.

February 12: The Tsagaan Sar special chess tournament will be organized among wrestlers.

February 12: The Tsagaan Sar special anklebone-shooting tournament will be held.

February 13: The Tsagaan Sar special “Torgony Khee 2026” folk song concert will be performed at the Central Cultural Palace.

 

 

February 12-15: The “Khuvi Zayany Khulees” drama play will be performed at the Puppet Theatre of Mongolia.

February 14: The Tsagaan Sar special anklebone-shooting tournament for wrestlers will be held.

February 14: The “Don Quixote” ballet will be performed at the Mongolian State Academic Theatre of Opera and Ballet.

February 15: A preliminary wrestling tournament to qualify for the Tsagaan Sar National Wrestling Tournament will be held among wrestlers with provincial, military, and soum titles.

February 15: The epic tale “Khaan Jangar” will be performed at the Palace of Independence.

 

-Tsagaan Sar Exhibition & Fair: Open until February 16, 2026, at the expo hall of Hunnu Shopping Mall.

-Civil Service General Examination (Q1, 2026): Online registration is open until February 17, 2026.

-“Amar Baina uu 2026” Exhibition & Fair: Open until February 17, 2026, at the Ikh Nayad Trade Center.

 

-The MONTSAME National News Agency of Mongolia has announced a video content competition under the theme #AMINNUTAG, aimed at promoting and preserving local history, cultural heritage, people’s livelihoods, unique characteristics, and traditions. The competition is open to local media organizations, professional creators, and enthusiasts. Submissions are accepted until March 1, 2026.

 

 

-A special exhibition titled “Unu Munkhiin Molor Erdene” (The Everlasting Topaz Jewel) is on display to the public until March 1, 2026. Curated from the personal collection of the Head of the Mandala Buddhist Center and Director of the “Mongol Ikh Tsam” project, Batbayar S., the exhibition presents the symbols and sacred objects of Mongolian horse culture comprehensively.

 

-“Dream Ice Rink 2025” at the Central Stadium will continue until March 10, 2026.

 

Local Events:

 

February 9: A Tsagaan Sar Exhibition & Fair will be held in Uvurkhangai aimag.

February 9-10: The “Uvurkhangai Artisans 2026” event, named after master woodcarver Odkhuu N., will take place in Uvurkhangai aimag.

February 9-10: An expanded “Tsagaan Sar 2026” Exhibition & Fair will be held in Sukhbaatar soum of Selenge aimag.

February 11: The “Selenge Waves” Folk Song and Dance Ensemble will present its folk music concert “Melodies of the Lunar New Year” in Selenge aimag.

February 13: The Camel Festival will be held in Khentii aimag.

 

Events Abroad:

 

February 14: The “Durvun Berkh” Mongolian National Spring Festival will be held to welcome Tsagaan Sar, as part of the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the Consulate of Mongolia in Busan, Republic of Korea.

 

-The exhibition “From Mongolia to the Baroque World” will be open at the Borghese Gallery in Rome, Italy, until February 22, 2026.

-The special exhibition “Mongolia: A Journey Through Time” will be on display at the Rietberg Museum in Zurich, Switzerland, until February 26, 2026.
