Ulaanbaatar, February 9, 2026 /MONTSAME/. Prime Minister Zandanshatar Gombojav visited the country’s first and only camel dairy farm in Umnugobi aimag last weekend.

The farm was established five years ago by “Solid Partners Group” LLC. It has a total of 225 camels, of which 160 are female camels. “Currently, milk is being collected from 70 female camels, producing 140-150 liters of milk per day. On average, 2.5 liters of milk are milked from each camel, which is twice as much as that from a free-grazing camel. During the summer, production reaches up to 4 liters per camel,” introduced the company authorities.

With 15 employees, the farm produces a total of eight products, including yogurt, beverages, and powdered milk, and has set a goal to export its products in the future.

“At the national level, if milk is collected from 60 thousand female camels and products are produced with 4000 liters of milk, domestic needs could be fully met. However, before that, it is crucial to promote the products domestically and develop the market,” said the company director Tsend-Ayush B.

The company has defined its long-term vision as introducing Mongolian camel milk products to the world and creating a Mongolian brand. Therefore, the company operates the farm in an incubator model, allowing herders and other businesses to study its experience.
