Speaker Uchral Lays Wreath at Tomb of Unknown Soldier

Ulaanbaatar, February 11, 2026 /MONTSAME/. A Mongolian parliamentary delegation led by Speaker Uchral Nyam-Osor, who is on an official visit to Russia, laid a wreath at the “Tomb of the Unknown Soldier” war memorial complex in the Alexander Garden in Moscow on February 10.
Present at the wreath-laying ceremony were Deputy Chairman
of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, Alexey
Vasilievich Gordeyev, along with Mongolian delegation.
The war memorial complex was established to honor those who
lost their lives in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945, as well as to
commemorate cities of military glory that contributed greatly during the war. It
was unveiled on May 8, 1967. Since 1997, honor guards have been stationed at
the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. The memorial complex is one of Russia’s
cultural heritage sites and the national memorials of military glory.
Immediately following the May 9 Victory Day military parade on Red Square, the Russian President and invited foreign leaders proceed to the Alexander Garden to lay wreaths and flowers at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.
