Ulaanbaatar, February 12, 2026 /MONTSAME/. The “President’s Scholar-2100” scholarship program, initiated by President Khurelsukh Ukhnaa, is being implemented for the fifth consecutive year.

President Khurelsukh handed over Scholarship Certificates and wished success to the Recipients of the "President's Scholar-2100" program, who are now studying in preparatory programs in their homeland. The President noted, “You, the scholarship recipients who will obtain global education, are future national leaders who will contribute to the development and welfare of the country. Making full use of your opportunities and starting your career with confidence will depend on your today's dedicated studies and diligent hard work.”

Within the framework of the “President’s Scholar-2100” program, a total of 1,052 students are currently studying in universities of 21 countries, namely the U.S., the U.K., Germany, France, Austria, Czech Republic, Canada, Poland, Australia, Russia, China, Japan, South Korea, Hungary, Lithuania, Turkey, India, Vietnam, Laos, Cuba, and Kazakhstan.

The scholarship program aims to engage selected top students from each soum and khoroo in preparatory programs to help them meet the qualifications of the world's best universities, provide financial support while studying abroad, and appoint them to employment to lead in local development upon their graduation and return.

Purevdorj U., a resident of Bayantes soum, Zavkhan aimag: “I am truly very happy. I first heard the news that I had been selected from my mother. When my classmates, friends, and family all congratulated me after hearing the good news, I felt a great sense of responsibility. Personally, I am interested in studying renewable energy in the Republic of Korea. I chose this field because I believe it will be one of the most necessary and in-demand sectors for Mongolia in the future. My older sister’s advice also influenced my decision. She knows quite a lot about this profession, so I receive a lot of information from her. I want to encourage my friends to make full use of this wonderful opportunity.”

Ulemj D., a resident of the 6th khoroo of Khan-Uul District, Ulaanbaatar: “I am extremely excited. When my friend called and said, ‘You’ve been selected,’ I was truly overjoyed and surprised. I immediately shared the news with my mother, and she congratulated me, saying, ‘My daughter did it.’ I have loved drawing since childhood, so I chose my profession by following my interest. To those who are receiving their letters and assignments with me today, I want to say, ‘You did it. Strive to contribute to the development of our country. I will also work very hard.’”

Azjargal L., a resident of the 23rd khoroo of Chingeltei district: “At first, I knew nothing about the President’s Scholar Program. However, I really wanted to participate. Since I didn’t know much about it, I had initially chosen the University of Finance and Economics. Then one day, I received a phone call telling me, ‘You have been selected for the Scholarship.’ My father happened to hear it at that very moment, and he was extremely happy. Our whole family celebrated together. I feel proud of myself, as if I have eased a big burden from my parents’ shoulders. I plan to study statistics in China. Thanks to this scholarship, I now have the opportunity to study my chosen field in the country I desire. I am confident that by studying this profession and challenging myself internationally, I will grow into an independent and responsible person. In the future, I aim to apply what I have learned in my homeland and contribute to the development of Mongolia. My dream is to become Mongolia’s first democratically elected female president and make my country an even better place. I would also like to express my gratitude to my beloved family and friends, the teachers and principal of School No. 37, and the instructors of the Intellectual Academy who have always supported and helped me.”

Buyantogtokh G., a resident of Bayan-Uul soum, Dornod aimag: “My parents found out before I did. When they told me, I didn’t believe it at first. I only believed it after receiving the official email. My parents were even happier and more excited than I was. I will study civil engineering in Japan. This has been my dream since middle school. I want to express my gratitude to the President of Mongolia and the team of the President’s Scholar-2100 program for opening the door to fulfilling my dream. I eagerly awaited the moment of receiving the letter and assignment from the Head of State and felt very excited. To all the students receiving their letters and assignments today, I want to say, ‘Well done!’”
