People’s Artist Amartuvshin E. to Receive Officer Rank

Ulaanbaatar, February 14, 2026 /MONTSAME/. By decree of the President of Italy, the State Decoration “Ordine della Stella d’Italia” (Order of the Star of Italy), with the rank of Officer, will be awarded to People’s Artist of Mongolia Amartuvshin Enkhbat.
This was officially announced by Giovanna Piccarreta, Ambassador of Italy to Mongolia, during the opening ceremony of an exhibition held on February 12, 2026, at the Chinggis Khaan National Museum.
Amartuvshin worked as a singer at the State Academic Theatre of Opera and Ballet from 2009 to 2016 before continuing his career and artistic work in Italy. He is a world-class baritone who has successfully performed leading and supporting roles in renowned operas such as “Carmen,” “La Traviata,” “Rigoletto,” “Eugene Onegin,” “Tosca,” “Aida,” and “Il Trovatore.” He has presented masterpieces of world classical art on the stages of major theaters in many countries, including Italy, France, Germany, Austria, Spain, Russia, Japan, Singapore, England, Belgium, the U.S., Hungary, Bulgaria, and China.
Just a few days ago, he also received the Prime Minister of Mongolia’s Award. In addition, he recently performed the leading role in “La Traviata” on the stage of the State Academic Theatre of Opera and Ballet.
