Four Mongolian Athletes to Compete at Winter Paralympic Games

Ulaanbaatar, February 25, 2026 /MONTSAME/. Mongolia will be represented by four athletes to compete in the three sports at the XIV Winter Paralympic Games on March 6-15, 2026.
Specifically,
athletes Ganbold B. and Dashdorj Ts. will compete in the men’s 10 km and 20 km
para cross-country skiing events. Athlete Selenge A. will participate in the
women’s sitting cross-country category, while Tserenpuntsag P. will compete in
para-alpine skiing. The athletes are currently under training at the “Bagabayan
– For Peace Complex”.
Mongolian
athletes started participating in the Winter Paralympics since the 2006 Turin
Games. This year marks the country’s sixth participation at the Winter
Paralympics and, notably, the first time Mongolia will send a female athlete to
the Games.
Athlete Selenge
A. will compete at the Paralympic for the first time. Dashdorj Ts. and
Tserenpuntsag P. will compete for the second time, while Ganbold B. will make his
fourth appearance against the world’s top athletes.
The XIV Winter Paralympic Games will begin on March 6 and run for nine days. A total of 665 athletes will compete for 79 sets of medals across six sports. The opening ceremony will take place at the Verona Arena.
