Mongolian Athletes Competing in ‘Strandja-2026’ Boxing Tournament

Ulaanbaatar, February 27, 2026 /MONTSAME/. The 77th edition of the “Strandja 2026” tournament, one of Europe’s oldest amateur boxing competitions, is currently taking place in Sofia, Bulgaria.


Around 340 athletes from 31 countries are competing in the tournament. Mongolia is being represented by seven male and five female boxers under the guidance of coaches Otgonbayar J., Batkhuu O., and Yerkin J.


Specifically, Battulga A. (50kg), Bilguunsaikhan Kh. (55kg), Buyandalai B. and Lundaa G. (60kg), Enkhtur T. (65kg), Byamba-Erdene O. (70kg), and Dalai G. (75kg) are competing in the men’s division.


Nomuundari E. (48kg), Mungunsaran B. (51kg), Enkhjargal M. (54kg), Nomin-Erdene T. (57kg), and Namuun M. (60kg) are competing in the women’s division.


The last time Mongolia won a medal at the “Strandja” international tournament was two years ago, when International Master of Sports Enkh-Amar Kh. secured a bronze medal.
