281 Mongolian Citizens Reside in the Middle East Region

Ulaanbaatar, March 1, 2026 /MONTSAME/. According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, there are currently approximately 40 Mongolian nationals residing in the State of Israel, including those who have married Israeli citizens and acquired Israeli citizenship. There are no Mongolian nationals residing in the Islamic Republic of Iran at present.
In connection with the situation in the region,
the Embassy of Mongolia in Ankara has established a group chat with Mongolian
citizens in Israel to provide them with advice and relevant information.
The Ministry further stated that, if requested by citizens, evacuation
measures will be organized from Tel Aviv through the Taba border crossing into
Egypt, based on previous experience.
According to information received from Mongolia’s diplomatic missions
abroad, a total of 281 Mongolian nationals are residing in the Middle East
region, distributed as follows:

Egypt – 45
·
Kuwait – 38
·
Saudi Arabia – 23
·
Jordan – 1
·
Oman – 2
·
Bahrain – 33
·
Qatar – 19.
Mongolian Embassies in Ankara, Abu Dhabi, Cairo, and Kuwait are providing necessary advice, information, and assistance to Mongolian citizens residing in these countries.
