Music and Choreography College to be developed into the Mongolian University of Music
Society | EducationUlaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Presently Mongolia has no higher education institutions that train specialists in the field of music. In view of this, the Russian side set to provide financial support in expanding the State Music and Choreography College named after S. Gonchigsumlaa into the Mongolian University of Music. An agreement thereon was reached during a working visit of the Minister of Education, Culture, Science and Sports J.Batsuuri to Moscow.
According to this, the Russian School Music Teachers will visit Mongolia in February 2017 to study what kind of musical instruments are needed for the Mongolian University of Music.
In addition, a Mongolian-Russian joint group is working on developing an academic program and curriculum of the Mongolian University of Music.
In 2017 a number of joint Mongolian-Russian cultural events will be organized, including the Days of Mongolian and Russian Films, a joint concert of classical music and the Days of Mongolian and Russian culture.
