Harvest Progress Update: Increases in Hay and Vegetable Yields, Drop in Potato Production

Ulaanbaatar, September 17, 2025 /MONTSAME/. According to harvest progress data, as of August 2025, a total of 156.5 thousand tons of hay has been harvested nationwide. In addition, 24.5 thousand tons of vegetables, 9.4 thousand tons of potatoes, and 5 thousand tons of hand-prepared fodder have been collected.
Compared to the same period last year, hay production increased by 62.1 percent, or 60 thousand tons, while vegetable yields rose by 13 percent, or 2.8 thousand tons. Hand-prepared fodder also saw a 60.6 percent increase, or 1.9 thousand tons. However, potato production decreased by 43.4 percent, which amounts to a drop of 7.2 thousand tons.
