Immigration Agency Launches AI-Powered Chatbot to Improve Its Services

Ulaanbaatar, December 2, 2025 /MONTSAME/. The Immigration Agency of Mongolia has introduced an artificial intelligence–powered chatbot into its integrated e-service system and official website to provide faster and more accessible public services.
The
chatbot operates 24/7 and has provided information and guidance to 2,092 users
since its launch. It uses AI to process inquiries related to visas, permits,
violations and adjudication, citizenship, and other services offered by the
agency. Users can receive assistance in Mongolian, English, and Chinese.
According
to the agency, a total of 97,590 individuals received guidance and information
in 2025. Of these, 87,245 inquiries were handled by phone, 4,646 in person,
5,699 by email, and 623 through Messenger chat. Compared to the same period
last year, the number of incoming calls increased by 20.8 percent, while missed
calls decreased by 10.2 percent.
