Capital to Renew Public Utilities Fleet with 71 Vehicles in 2026

Ulaanbaatar, January 13, 2026 /MONTSAME/. Ulaanbaatar city is carrying out a phased fleet renewal in the public utilities sector to improve cleanliness and comfort and ensure a safe and healthy living environment for residents. In 2025, the capital renewed its fleet with 167 vehicles and equipment using city investment.
Fleet renewal will continue in 2026, with plans to procure 71 new units, including sludge cleaning and suction trucks, barrier washing vehicles, waste compactor trucks, street sweepers, and water pumping vehicles for flood response.
The vehicles will be
provided to contracted service operators under a five-year, interest-free
leasing arrangement with no down payment. This enables fleet renewal
without financial strain and allows operators to establish a dedicated fund
from monthly usage fees to ensure regular and continuous fleet upgrades going
forward.
