In Ulaanbaatar:
February 16: The socio-economic indicators for the first month of 2026 will be presented.
February 16: The first and second rounds of wrestling bouts featuring 256 wrestlers holding national, aimag, military, and soum titles, as well as young wrestlers, will take place in celebration of Tsagaan Sar (the Lunar New Year) of the XVII Sexagenary Cycle, the Year of the Fire Horse titled “Sureer Daragch.”
February 17: The third to eighth rounds of the wrestling tournament dedicated to the Lunar New Year, will be held.
February 18–20: Mongolia’s traditional Tsagaan Sar will be celebrated.
February 21: International Mother Language Day will be observed.
February 22: Scout Day will be observed.
Online registration for the general entrance examination for civil service for the first quarter of 2026 will continue until February 17.
The “Amar baina uu–2026” trade fair and exhibition will run at the “Ikh Nayad” shopping center until February 17.
The Mongolian National News Agency MONTSAME has announced a video content competition under the theme #AMINNUTAG, aimed at promoting and safeguarding local historical and cultural heritage, citizens’ livelihoods, unique characteristics, and traditions. The competition is open to local media organizations, artists, and enthusiasts. Submissions will be accepted until March 1, 2026.
At the Mongolian National Museum, in celebration of Tsagaan Sar, the special exhibition “Eternal Crystal Jewel” will be open to the public until March 1. The exhibition presents a comprehensive display of symbols and sacred objects related to Mongolia’s equestrian culture, featuring selected pieces from the museum’s collection as well as the private collection of Batbayar S., Head of the Mandala Buddhist Center and Project Leader of “Mongol Ikh Tsam.”
The “Dream Ice Arena–2025” event will continue at the Central Stadium until March 10, 2026.
Events Abroad:
-The exhibition “From Mongolia to the Baroque World” will be on display at the Borghese Gallery in Rome, Italy, until February 22.
-The special exhibition “Mongolia: A Journey Through Time” will continue at the Rietberg Museum in Zurich, Switzerland, until February 26.
-The exhibition “Zanabazar: Vision of the Steppe” will be presented to the public at the Museum of Oriental Art in Turin from February 26 to April 7.
