Mongolia and China to Mutually Recognize Educational Documents

Ulaanbaatar, February 1, 2024 /MONTSAME/. The Ministry of Education and Science reports that Mongolia and China agreed to mutually accept educational documents and titles through the Agreement between the Governments of Mongolia and the People’s Republic of China.


Minister of Education and Science of Mongolia, Enkh-Amgalan Luvsantseren held an official meeting with Minister of Education of China Mr. Huai Jinpeng. During the meeting, the parties emphasized that cooperation in education and science occupies an important place in bilateral cooperation and exchanged opinions on preparing human resources in ecology and urban greening, jointly implementing education programs, and establishing a joint laboratory.


In addition, under the “President’s Scholar-2100” scholarship program, the parties discussed increasing the number of scholarships, sharing good practices and experiences by involving 100 officials and 100 teachers of secondary schools in management and technical skills training annually, expanding cooperation between Peking and Shandong Universities of China, and the National University of Mongolia, Mongolian University of Science and Technology and providing assistance for the improvement of equipment and infrastructure in digital education.


Minister Huai Jinpeng expressed his willingness to further expand cooperation in the education and science sector under the notes exchanged in April 2023. 


This year marks the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Mongolia and China and the 10th anniversary of the establishment of a comprehensive strategic partnership. Currently, more than 6,600 Mongolian students are studying with scholarships from the Chinese Government.
