Ulaanbaatar, March 7, 2024 /MONTSAME/. The regulation for providing monetary benefits to teachers and employees of state and rural kindergartens, general education schools, vocational education schools, and polytechnic colleges has been approved at the Cabinet session on March 6, 2024.

In the field of education and science, there are 95,032 civil servants working across 1,799 state and rural educational institutions. Among them, 62,099 employees serve in 1,279 organizations located in rural areas. Cash allowances for teaching staff in rural educational institutions have been provided since 2006, following an amendment to the Law on Education. With the changes included in the Education Package Law, relations concerning the provision of allowances will now be regulated by the new procedure.

It is expected that the approval of this regulation will ensure stable working conditions for public service employees in rural educational institutions, improve their living standards and quality of life, and provide them with essential financial support.
