Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ ‘Playtime’, the annual international music festival, was held for the 18th year on July 5-7 at Mongol Shiltgeen in Gachuurt Village of Ulaanbaatar. Founded in 2002, the festival aims to promote new artists and develop modern music culture.

This year, in addition to three main stages ‘Playtime’, ‘Naaglihats’ and ‘New wave’, the festival officially introduced two pavilions ‘La Vie En Rose’ and ‘Waldo’, which featured various events including film screenings, poetry night, meditation, tea ceremony and a number of creative workshops.

Over 70 national and international artists performed on the stages of Playtime. Highlights of the festival were the Taiwanese synth-pop band ‘Sunset Rollercoater’, American indie rock band ‘Yo La Tengo’ and British indie rock group ‘The Wedding Present’.

The festival is expanding its scope with every year, attracting more and more international artists and music lovers.
