Mongolia-China diplomatic anniversary ceremony organized in BeijingPolitics
Beijing /MONTSAME/. A ceremony commemorating the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Mongolia and People’s Republic of China was organized by Mongolian Embassy in China and Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries in Beijing, China on October 16.
Officials from Mongolia and China, including Mongolian Defense Minister N.Enkhbold, Ambassador of Mongolia to China D.Gankhuyag, Deputy Minister of Education, Culture, Science and Sports D.Ganbayar from Mongolian side took part in the ceremony.
Addressing the ceremony, Defense Minister N.Enkhbold highlighted the Mongolia's foreign policy top priority to pursue good friendly relations with China to develop extended cooperation as a good neighbor and the long-standing historic cooperation between Mongolia and China guided by principles of mutual respect for sovereignty and territorial integrity, mutual non-interference in each other's internal affairs, equality and mutual benefit and peaceful coexistence. “Particularly, in the past three decades, the Mongolian-Chinese partnership have grown extensively, which is affirmed by historic milestones, high level reciprocal visits and other important events. Mongolia is willing to widen the bilateral cooperation with mutual benefits and people-to-people friendship” he added.
Baima Chilin, Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, who was present at the ceremony, reiterated the Mongolia’s support for China 70 years ago, becoming one of the first countries to have diplomatic ties with China. “Elevated to comprehensive strategic partnership during the China’s President Xi Jinping’s visit to Mongolia in 2014, the bilateral relations of Mongolia and China have now reached its historic peak, with trade turnover of USD 8.5 billion, which is forecasted to reach USD 10 billion in 2020”. The ceremony saw Mongolian traditional culture performances.
