Defense Minister meets Ambassador of Japan

/MONTSAME/ Minister of Defense N.Enkhbold met with Ambassador Extraordinary and
Plenipotentiary of Japan to Mongolia Kobayashi Hiroyuki on January 17.
At the
meeting, Minister N.Enkhbold said the Mongolia-Japan defense cooperation has
been deepening in the recent years under the bilateral strategic partnership with
reciprocal visits, exchanges, and consultative meetings taking place, the
Japanese defense ministry carrying out a capacity building program, and the
Japanese side sending its soldiers to the Khaan Quest international military
exercise.
Expressing
his pleasure with the reciprocal appointments of military attaches, the Defense
Minister said, “During my official visit to Japan in December, 2019, the two sides agreed
on expanding bilateral cooperation in numerous areas such as implementing a capacity
building project in military health care, supporting the establishment of a
partnership between land forces of the two countries, and providing
technical and equipment assistance to Mongolia. I am confident that you, Mr.
Ambassador, will provide your full support in this regard”
Ambassador Kobayashi Hiroyuki showed delight with his appointment to Mongolia and emphasized that he will place special emphasis on the expansion of bilateral defense cooperation.
