Prime Minister meets Ambassador of Japan

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. On February 21, Prime Minister of Mongolia U.Khurelsukh received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Mongolia Kobayashi Hiroyuki.
Congratulating the Ambassador for presenting credentials to the Mongolian President and wishing success in all his endeavors, Prime Minister U.Khurelsukh highlighted that the two countries have established Strategic Partnership within a short period of time since Mongolia embarked on the democratic path, and noted his eagerness to further expand bilateral ties during the Japan’s era of Reiwa.
“We are grateful for the Japanese government and its people for all their support and assistance to Mongolia. I am delighted with a number of development projects in Mongolia within the Japan Official Development Assistance, marking the friendship between Mongolia and Japan, such as the new international airport of Ulaanbaatar and Mongolia-Japan Teaching Hospital and so on” said PM U.Khurelsukh.
For his part, the Ambassador of Japan said that he is very pleased with his appointment to Mongolia for the third time and Mongolia feels like his second home. Mentioning that high level reciprocal visits and political talks play important roles in development of bilateral relations and cooperation, Ambassador Kobayashi Hiroyuki said that the Prime Minister’s 2018 official visit to Japan provided significant impetus to the advancement of trade and economic partnership.
He also extended gratitude for the Prime Minister for taking part in the enthronement ceremony of Emperor of Japan Naruhito and pledged to pay special attention on intensifying Mongolia-Japan economic ties, increasing Mongolia’s exports to Japanese market and improve business environment for them.
