Four more people test positive, brings COVID-19 cases in Mongolia to 310

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ During the regular press briefing of the Ministry of Health held today, September 4, Head of the Surveillance Department of the National Center for Communicable Diseases (NCCD) A.Ambaselmaa provided updates on the latest COVID-19 test results. 


According to her, four people have tested positive for coronavirus after tests carried out on 537 people at three laboratories on September 3. Specifically, four women aged 83, 84, 63 and 57, who arrived on the charter flight from Seattle on September 2 have tested positive for COVID-19.


Thus, the total number of confirmed cases in Mongolia reached 310 and 296 of them have recovered. Among the recoveries, 41 have been transferred into the next stage of isolation, while the isolation period for 255 of them have ended.


As of today, 14 people are receiving treatment at the NCCD; 13 of them are in mild and one in serious health condition.
