Meeting held with Chair of the European Parliament Delegation for Central Asia and Mongolia

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. Member of the State Great Hural Mrs. Ts.Munkhtsetseg had a virtual meeting with Chair of the European Parliament Delegation for Central Asia and Mongolia Mr. Fulvio Martusciello yesterday, May 18.
At the outset of the meeting, Mr. Fulvio Martusciello congratulated Mrs. Ts.Munkhtsetseg on being elected as the Chair of the Parliamentary Group of the State Great Hural for relations with the European Union, while expressing commitment to continue to work together to organize inter-parliamentary meetings in the future and further strengthen bilateral cooperation.
Mrs. Ts.Munkhtsetseg asked Mr. Fulvio Martusciello to convey the letter written to President of the European Parliament Mr. David Sassoli by Speaker of the State Great Hural Mr. G.Zandanshatar on the occasion of Europe Day. She said that Mongolia values its relations with the European Union and its member states and attaches great importance to the expansion of inter-parliamentary cooperation within the framework of its ‘third-neighbor’ policy.
Noting that the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Mongolia and the European Union marked in 2019, she reaffirmed the entry into force of the Partnership and Cooperation Agreement between the European Union and Mongolia. Moreover, she said that Mongolia's long-term goal is to strengthen cultural, as well as people-to-people relations by expanding ties with the European Union and its member states, and intensifying trade and investment.
