Views exchanged on establishing a joint Mongolian-Russian sapling farmSociety
Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. On January 26, President of the Mongolian Academy of Sciences (MAS) D.Regdel received Head of the Russian Academy of Science’s Research Institute of Gardening in Siberia A.A. Kanarskiy.
During the meeting, the Head of the Russian Research Institute expressed interest in cooperating with the side of Mongolia in the framework of the ‘One Billion Trees’ program initiated by the President of Mongolia, and especially expanding studies and research being carried out by the two countries and preparing specialists in planting trees in Russia.
The MAS President accepted the suggestion for cooperation, and noted the possibility for the institute’s scholars and researchers to work together with the Academy’s Botanic Garden and Research Institute.
In the framework of the meeting, the sides agreed to establish a working group for cooperation in the field and establish a joint sapling farm.
