Showers and thunderstorms to follow hot weather

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. Hotter weather is expected in the country’s southern region in the coming few days, with showers and thunderstorms in the northern parts of central and eastern aimags.
Showers and thunderstorms are expected in eastern parts of central and Gobi aimags and in most parts of eastern aimags on June 4, in western parts of western aimags, eastern parts of Gobi aimags, and in most parts of eastern aimags on June 5, in some parts of western and central aimags on June 6, and in most parts of central aimags, some parts of Gobi aimags, and southern parts of eastern aimags on June 7.
Wind speed will be mostly 5-10 m/sec, reaching 12-14 m/sec in some parts of the country on June 7.
In the mountainous areas of Altai, Khangai, Khuvsgul, and Khentei, in the basins of Baidrag, Eg, Uur, Tuul, and Terelj rivers, the temperature will range from 0 to +5 degrees Celsius during the night, and +13 to +18 during the day.
In the southern Gobi region, the nighttime temperature will be +13 to +18 degrees Celsius, and the daytime temperature will be +26 to +31 degrees Celsius.
In the depression of the Great Lakes and in the northern parts of the Gobi region, temperatures will be +8 to +13 during the night, and +21 to +26 during the day.
In other areas, temperatures are expected to be +5 to +10 during the night, and +17 to +22 during the day. Slight drop in temperature is expected in the country’s eastern region on June 4 and 5.
