Prime Minister Pays Courtesy Call on Speaker of the National Assembly of Hungary

Ulaanbaatar, May 5, 2023 /MONTSAME/. Prime Minister of Mongolia L. Oyun-Erdene paid a courtesy
call on Speaker of the National Assembly of Hungary Köver Laszlo, who is
presently on an official visit to Mongolia at the invitation of the Speaker of
the State Great Khural, G. Zandanshatar. The visit aimed to bolster the ties
between the two countries parliaments.
At the outset of the meeting, Prime Minister L. Oyun-Erdene
emphasized the significance of Mr. Köver Laszlo's visit to Mongolia and highlighted
that one of Mongolia's foreign policy priorities is to foster stronger
relations and cooperation with Hungary in all fields, with a particular
emphasis on expanding the economic, foreign trade, and investment between the two countries.
In his address, Mr. Köver László reiterated the Hungarian
National Assembly's commitment to support trade, economic, and all-round
cooperation between the two Governments, as part of Mongolia's "New
Revival Policy."
The parties concurred that cooperation between the two
countries in the fields of education and culture could be extended to other
domains such as tourism, economy, and social welfare. Hungary, a Member of
the European Union, has traditionally enjoyed friendly relations and
collaboration with Mongolia and is a third neighboring country.
Since 2017, 200 Mongolian students have been pursuing their studies in Hungary with scholarships provided by the Hungarian Government. The Prime Minister affirmed his readiness to cooperate in all aspects to ensure that the meetings, talks, and agreements between the Speakers of the Parliament of the two countries are constructive, effective and realized.
The meeting concluded on a positive note, with both parties reaffirming their commitment to further strengthen the partnership between the countries. The official visit of Mr. Köver Laszlo to Mongolia is anticipated to yield fruitful outcomes in advancing mutually beneficial cooperation in various fields.
