Steppe Copper and Cuprum Energy to Collaborate in the Hydrometallurgy Sector

Ulaanbaatar, October 30, 2024 /MONTSAME/. At the invitation of the President of Mongolia, Khurelsukh Ukhnaa, the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Kemelovich Tokayev, paid a State Visit to Mongolia. As part of the State Visit, the first session of the Mongolian-Kazakh Joint Business Council was held on October 29, 2024, at the Mongolian National Chamber of Commerce and Industry.


At the session, business representatives from the two countries held discussions to deepen and expand trade, economic, and investment cooperation, and signed memorandums of understanding. More than then companies from Kazakhstan in agriculture, food, foreign trade, light industry, and mining sectors organized business-to-business meetings with Mongolian businesses to expand their multilateral cooperation. The Financial Director of "Steppe Copper" LLC Genendarama Jargalsaikhan and the Director of Kazakhstan's "Cuprum Energy" LLC Yerken Magad signed a memorandum of understanding to collaborate in the hydrometallurgy sector.


This memorandum opens opportunities to introduce Mongolia’s leading engineers' experience in cathode copper production to Kazakhstan making a tangible contribution to Mongolia's economy and economic relations between the two countries. Steppe Copper LLC is a national company operating in management, investment, and consulting services, which has successfully implemented projects such as Achit Ikht (a member of the London Metal Exchange), Steppe Arena, and Steppe Metal Powder.
