Mongolia to Intensify Bilateral Relations and Cooperation with the Kingdom of Bahrain

Prime Minister of Mongolia Oyun-Erdene Luvsannamsrai met with Crown Prince and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Bahrain Salman bin Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, to express Mongolia’s interest in intensifying its relations and cooperation with Bahrain, a country with a unique culture and history, as part of its foreign policy focus on strengthening ties with the Gulf countries.
The two sides recognized the potential to deepen and expand bilateral relations and cooperation in trade, economy, investment, mining, agriculture, environmental protection, and combating climate change and desertification. They also pointed out the feasibility of carrying out joint projects and programs in these sectors. The Government of Mongolia is aiming at implementing 14 mega development projects for 2024–2028 while also carrying out economic, social, and legal reforms. In this context, the Mongolian Premier underlined the relevance of fostering mutually beneficial cooperation, particularly in mineral resources, renewable energy, tourism, urban development, and mining sectors.
Moreover, the two sides agreed on the importance of fostering interactions between the private sectors to enhance business collaboration between the two countries. They also acknowledged the need to initiate partnerships between their chambers of commerce and jointly pursue education initiatives with mutual support, reported the Media and Public Relations Department of the Government of Mongolia.
