Deputy Foreign Minister Meets Ambassadors of Australia, Kazakhstan

February 4, 2026 /MONTSAME/. On February 2, 2026, Deputy Minister of
Foreign Affairs of Mongolia, Amartuvshin Gombosuren, received the Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Mongolia, Almas Seitakynov, and the
Ambassador of the Commonwealth of Australia to Mongolia, Leo Zeng, to
exchange views on broad topics regarding relations and cooperation.
Noting that the
bilateral relations and cooperation between Mongolia and its important partner
in Central Asia, Kazakhstan, have been actively expanding thanks to the support
and efforts of the Heads of the two countries, Deputy Minister Amartuvshin
shared views on the visit to be paid this year within the goal to deepen the
Mongolia-Kazakhstan strategic partnership.
Ambassador
Seitakynov highlighted the deep and long-standing historical, cultural, and
traditional ties between the two countries and further expressed commitment to active
cooperation and ambassadorial efforts to strengthen the Mongolia-Kazakhstan strategic
partnership, ensure implementation of high-level agreements, and develop
mutually beneficial economic cooperation.
Deputy Minister Amartuvshin
also expressed pleasure that the relations and cooperation built between
Mongolia and its important partner in the Pacific region, Australia, have
deepened and expanded significantly in recent years, reaching the level of a
Comprehensive Partnership, now ready to advance to the next level. The deputy minister
noted the importance of following in the footsteps of past mutual high-level visits
and further strengthening the legal foundations of cooperation.
Ambassador Zeng expressed his commitment to strengthening ties between Mongolia and Australia by focusing on deepening cooperation in the mining, agricultural, military, education, and cultural sectors, and intensifying people-to-people ties.
