Asian Regional Meeting on Higher Education takes place in Ulaanbaatar

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Asian regional meeting themed “Empowering Higher Education Towards Sustainable Development- CDIO 2020”, which discusses issues relevant to engineering education reform was held in Ulaanbaatar city on September 23.
Minister of Education and Science L.Tsedevsuren opened the meeting, co-organized by Mongolian top universities namely the Mongolian University of Science and Technology and the National University of Mongolia, involving representatives from over 10 universities in Asia.
In her opening remarks, the Minister said “I am confident that the attendees would share practices and information on improving quality of higher education, training skilled specialists in most-required professions as well as put forth good initiatives. COVID-19 pandemic has become big challenge for us. I am hopeful that you would discuss about providing higher education non-stop and effectively in this difficult time and develop tangible recommendations.”
Director of “CDIO” International Cooperation Organization Helene Leon, Director in charge of Asia Regional Affairs Sing Mo and instructors, scholars and researchers from universities of over 10 countries delivered presentations virtually at the forum. The participants of the forum will further work hand in hand to improve quality of higher education and raise its value.
