Measures to be taken to stabilize price increase and inflation

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. During today’s cabinet meeting, Minister of Food, Agriculture and Light Industry Z.Mendsaikhan briefed on the rise in commodity prices and its impact on inflation. In this regard, the following measures will be taken:
To transfer ownership and management of automated warehouses to the capital city as part of the works to be carried out to secure the domestic need of potatoes and vegetables;
To organize extended meat trade at no less than 30 sales points in November and December and make delivery services available for citizens to receive meat from rural regions;
To organize the stockpiling and sale of meat for the spring food needs of the citizens;
To ensure price stability by establishing an agricultural corporation and stockpiling meat and wheat for the population's food needs, and resolve necessary funding to establish the corporation;
To not increase electricity tariff until June 1, 2022;
In addition, the Minister of Finance and the Minister of Road and Transport Development were tasked to develop a draft law on exemption from customs and value-added taxes for freight trains for approval.
