Mining sector 2016 in figures
Economy | MiningUlaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ In the first four months of 2016, a total of 7.4 million tons of coal, 2.7 tons of gold and 404.1 thousand tons of oil were exploited, reported the Ministry of Mining on Thursday.
Total of 58.8 thousand tons of fluorspar concentrate, 498.9 thousand tons of copper concentrate, 713.1 thousand tons of iron ore concentrate and 29.0 thousand tons of zinc concentrate were produced.
In the same reporting period, Mongolia exported 557.5 thousand tons of copper concentrate, 1.38 million tons of iron ore, 4.3 tons of gold, 5.0 million tons of coal and 392.3 thousand tons of oil.
