Foreign Trade Turnover Increases by 16.9 Percent

Ulaanbaatar, November 7, 2023 /MONTSAME/. The total foreign trade turnover in the first ten months of 2023 reached USD 20033.6 million, an increase of USD 2898.6 million or 16.9 percent compared to the same period of 2022. The value of exports surpassed imports by USD 4,914.4 million, resulting in a positive foreign trade balance.
The foreign trade performance for the first ten months of 2023 was analyzed based on 525,662 export and 251,641 import customs declarations, along with data from other sources. According to the Mongolian Customs General Administration, 27,408 export declarations and 1,092 import declarations were submitted through the temporary ports opened during the reporting period.
