Ambassador Igawahara Masaru Visits Uvs Aimag

Ulaangom, September 19, 2025 /MONTSAME/. Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Mongolia, Igawahara Masaru, accompanied by a delegation, is on a working visit to Uvs aimag.
During the visit, the Ambassador met with the authorities of the Uvs aimag and signed an Agreement under the Government of Japan’s Grant Assistance for Grassroots Human Security Projects (GGP) for 2025.
Through this grant assistance, the dormitory and kitchen buildings of the General Education School in Tsagaankhairkhan soum, Uvs aimag, will be renovated. The old kitchen building will undergo major repairs, while the dormitory’s kitchen and dining hall will be refurbished and furnished. This will provide dormitory students with a safe and healthy environment for study and daily life.
During the visit, Ambassador Igawahara will also tour several public and private organisations to become acquainted with their operations.
