Basketball teams of Mongolia and the DPRK to make joint training

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ On December 9, Member of Parliament and President of the Mongolian National Basketball Association (MNBA) S.Erdene met delegates led by Foreign Minister of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) Ri Yong-ho. Foreign Minister of the DPRK Ri Yong-ho leads the Basket Association of his country.


Beginning the meeting, the sides noted about friendly ties between the two countries and shared views on cooperation in basketball field.


Delegation of the Democratic Party paid a working visit to the DPRK on the occasion of the 70th historic anniversary of the DPRK in September, 2018. During the visit, Chairman of the Democratic Party S.Erdene signed a memorandum of cooperation with Basketball Association of the DPRK as the President of MNBA. Following to the memorandum, the sides launched an exchange program. Four football players from the DPRK with their coach will come to Mongolia in January, 2019 to play in our national league whereas our athletes will make joint training in the DPRK within the first quarter of next year.
