Foreign Affairs Minister meets people with disabilitiesSociety
On December 10, MP and Minister of Foreign Affairs D.Tsogtbaatar held a meeting
with representatives of people with disabilities who live in the 1st-6th
khoroos of Sukhbaatar district of Ulaanbaatar.
At the meeting, Mr.Tsogtbaatar highlighted that he meets the citizens on Human Rights Day which is internationally observed on December 10. “Human rights are most valuable thing which is defended by the Constitution. However, it is difficult to say that human rights are completely protected in Mongolia. There are many problems such as unemployment, issues related to salary, social welfare and hospital services as well as others. Mongolia joined the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities. Accordingly, our country established a special agency for people with disabilities.” He also emphasized an importance of creating favorable environment and conditions for people with disabilities to be employed.
