Central bank governor meets Russian Ambassador

Ulaanbaatar/MONTSAME/. Governor of the Bank of Mongolia B.Lkhagvasuren met with the Ambassador of the Russian Federation I.K.Azizov on March 19.
At the beginning of the meeting, the sides exchanged views
on Mongolia’s macroeconomic outlook, situations caused by the novel coronavirus,
and policy actions being currently taken. Mr. Lkhagvasuren briefed about
resolutions issued by the Monetary Policy Committee and the Financial Stability
Council and discussed bilateral cooperation in the banking sector.
Although two countries have been regularly organizing an inter-bank meeting on investment and financial sector’s cooperation in recent years, this year meeting, which was scheduled on April 8 in Ulaanbaatar, has been postponed for an indefinite period due to the Covid-19 outbreak.
