Deputy Agriculture Minister meets UNDP Deputy Resident Representative

Ulaanbaatar/MONTSAME/. On April 27, Deputy Minister of Food,
Agriculture and Light Industry J.Saule met with the Deputy Resident
Representative at UNDP Mongolia Nashida Sattar.
In the beginning, Ms. Nashida Sattar expressed willingness
to cooperate with Mongolia in the food and light industry sectors during the
Covid-19 pandemic with aims to improve the food supply, increase herders'
earning and support value-added food production. To increase the cost of milk
and dairy products, producing new types of products with goat, camel and yak
milk by the biotechnological method and introducing them into production will
increase herders' source of income, said Ms. Nashida Sattar.
The Deputy Minister emphasized, "We can cooperate
within the framework of government program 'Healthy food-Healthy Mongolian' and
'First campaign of meat and milk.' Moreover, it is possible to cooperate in
exporting value-added products and developing animal health and origin
registration systems within the 'Cashmere' program.
The Deputy Minister notified that the measures and
strategies to be taken during the global pandemic are under intensive
implementation, for which the sides concurred to cooperate.
