Ulaanbaatar, June 28, 2024 /MONTSAME/ Prime Minister of Mongolia Oyun-Erdene Luvsannamsrai cast his vote for the State Great Khural in the eighth constituency at a polling station in Ulaanbaatar. There are 2323 voters registered at this polling station.
Premier said, “The people of Mongolia are voting for the ninth State Great Khural since the adoption of the New 1992 Constitution of Mongolia. This election features that the parliament with 126 members, composed of representatives from various sectors is to be formed for the first time in the history of Mongolia. For this reason, the voter turnout is high, in my observation. Also, citizens of Mongolia abroad could vote from overseas. Representatives from citizens with impaired abilities, scholars, trade unions, and the private sector are going to be elected, being nominated in a party list. I call on the people to actively participate in the election. Democracy is people’s election of their representatives."
