Money supply in statistics
EconomyUlaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ According to the Bank of Mongolia, money supply (M2) reached MNT 9.8 trillion at the end of November, 2015. This indicates a decrease of 91.2 billion Togrog or 0.9 percent against the previous month and a decrease of 119.0 billion Togrog or 1.2 percent compared to same period of 2014.
At the end of last month, currency issued in circulation reached MNT 710.5 billion, decreasing by 29.2 billion Togrog or 3.9 percent from the end of October and by 58.4 billion Togrog or 7.6 percent compared to same period of the previous year.
Loans outstanding amounted to MNT 11.9 trillion at the end of November, showing a decrease of 20.7 billion Togrog or 0.2 percent against the previous month, and of 759.1 billion Togrog or 6.0 percent compared to the same period of 2014.
Principals in arrears reached MNT 899.5 billion at the end of last month. This shows an increase of 37.8 billion Togrog or 4.4 percent from previous month, and of 454.9 billion Togrog or 2.0 times compared to the same period of the previous year.
In the same reporting period, the non-performing loans over the bank system reached MNT 849.8 billion, decreased by 6.0 billion Togrog or 0.7 percent from the previous month, increased by 229.8 billion Togrog or 37.1 percent compared to the same period of the previous year.
In the first 11 months of 2015, 29.7 million Securities traded in the stock market, valued at MNT 839.8 billion. Total turnover has increased by 671.5 billion Togrog or 5.0 times and the number of securities decreased by 14.7 million or 33.1 percent compared to the same period of 2014.
