External trade surplus increases in 2015
EconomyUlaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ In 2015, Mongolia traded with 147 countries. Total external trade turnover reached USD 8,466.6 million, of which USD 4,669.5 million made up by exports and USD 3,797.2 million--by imports.
The total external trade turnover decreased USD 2,544.4 million or 23.1 percent, exports--by USD 1,104.9 million or 19.1 percent, imports by,USD 1,439.5 million or 27.5 percent compared to the previous year.
External trade balance showed a surplus of USD 872.3 million in 2015, increasing USD 334.6 million or 62.2 percent against 2014.
In December of 2015, exports were valued at USD 426.6 million, increased by USD 110.4 million or 34.9 percent, imports reached USD 302.5 million, decreased USD 28.8 million or 8.7 percent against November.
