Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Ministry of Mining of Mongolia and New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization of Japan signed a Memorandum of Understanding on launching the implementation of cement dry-processing pilot plant project on February 16, the fortunate ninth day of the Fire Monkey Year.

This will be first stage of the deal between the sides, which was agreed in 2013, on introducing dry-processing technology to Mongolia.

A MoU was also signed by Erdenes Tavantolgoi LLC and Japan’s Nagata Engineering LLC on August 13, 2013, on the project on dry-processing plant.

The pilot plant will be capable of producing 300 thousand tons of coal per year, utilizing FBS (Fluidized bed separator) and AT (Air table) equipment.

This will make a breakthrough of an eco-friendly and economical technology in the Gobi, where water resources are extremely scarce.
