Renovation of agricultural machinery 60 percent complete

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Renovation of agricultural machinery is running with 60 percent completion, importing mainly grain combines and threshing machines, underlined Ts.Bolorchuluun, Chairman of Agriculture Policy implementation management department of the Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Light Industry.
"The crop farming equipment should be constantly renewed. Our ministry supplies farmers with new machines, borrowing from foreign countries. Threshing machines have not been renovated for a long time. Therefore, we intend to make contracts with 7 threshing machine manufacturing companies of Russia. Currently, we made contracts with 4 companies and expect to receive the machines by the end of July” he said.
As a result of a meeting between Minister of Food, Agriculture and Light Industry P.Sergelen and Deputy Agriculture Minister of the Russian Federation, the parties agreed on agriculture machinery purchase and relevant agreements were signed on July 3 and 5 .
