Mongolia-Russia business forum commences

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The 2nd Mongolia-Russia Cooperation 2017 business forum launched at a conference hall of the Blue Sky Hotel.
The forum is being attended by about 200 delegates and high officials including Ts.Munkh-Orgil, Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs, S.V.Kalashnikov, First Deputy Head of the Standing Committee on Economic Policy of the Federation Council of Russia and President of the International Cooperation Association, B.Enkh-Amgalan MP, Deputy Head of the Mongolia-Russia inter-parliamentary group and I.K. Azizov, Ambassador of Russia to Mongolia.
In his opening remarks, Ts.Munkh-Orgil emphasized that the trade and investments with the Russia play an important role in the priorities of Mongolia, and noted 32 mega-projects will be implemented within a development of Russia-Mongolia-China Economic Corridor. In frames of the Eastern Economic Forum held in Vladivostok, the three countries are paying attention to forwarding the Economic Corridor’s actions, railways, roads and energy issues.
At the forum, B.Enkh-Amgalan MP talked about importance of the Mongolia-Russia Cooperation-2017 Exhibition for a direct delivery of goods to consumers and an establishment of new partners. He informed that the two countries are negotiating to create a permanent council, which focuses on upgrading the legal landscape for the commercial ties.
Saying that Mongolia is not only a neighbor country, but also a strategic partner of Russia, S.V.Kalashnikov believes that the bilateral cooperation would expand in new fields. He said Russia is ready to realize agreements and contracts made between the State Heads of the countries, adding that the Mongolia-Russia Cooperation-2017 Forum would give impetus into it.
Russian Ambassador I.K.Azizov said the countries have to focus attention to forwarding their partnership without limiting by the economic and trade sectors.
“It is vital for us now to widen the cooperation in five certain directions. For instance, we need to cooperate in the energy sector, namely, joining four sub-stations of Russia and renovating energy objects established during former Soviet era,” the Ambassador said. He also talked about projections to forward construction works of railways, supplying agricultural equipment and broadening collaboration in livestock breeding.
The parties agreed with a necessity to develop the cooperation in new fields such as air transportation and processing industries.
