Living donor liver transplant surgery for cancer patient succeeded

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Surgeons of the National Cancer Center of Mongolia successfully performed living donor liver transplant surgery for a patient with liver cancer on January 28.
A team comprised 42 surgeons led by PhD J.Chinburen, General-Director of the National Cancer Center, E.Taivanbaatar, Head of the Hepatology Department performed the surgery for 7 hours under control by doctors of the Samsung Medical Center of South Korea.
According to sources, conditions of both donor and recipient are good.
