Memorial monument erected in memory of 17 mountaineers

A monument was erected on the way to the Asralt Khairkhan, known as the threshold for mountaineers, in memory of 17 mountaineers who lost their lives in a snowslide on the way back from Otgontenger Mountain, the highest peak in the Khangai Mountains on October 21 last year.

The memorial monument was initiated by ‘Horizon hiking club’ and built by Borjigon Suvarga LLC with donations of the deceased mountaineers’ families, friends and those who love and support mountain sports.
