Central Sterile and Bacteriology Laboratory handed over to Third Central Hospital

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. In the frameworks of the Fifth Health Sector Development Project funded by the Asian Development Bank (ADB), the central sterile and bacteriology laboratory at the Third Central Hospital has been renovated. The laboratory handover ceremony took place on January 31.
Minister of Health D.Sarangerel and ADB Country Director for Mongolia Ms. Yolanda Fernandez as well as the project team and other officials attended the ceremony.
Installing 17 sterilization equipment, 37 equipment for bacteriology laboratory and 110 tools and equipment for waste management, a total of about MNT 1.9 billion was invested for the renovation.
With the implementation of the project, aside from the improvement of service of quality for the central sterile and bacteriology laboratory, it sets an example for infection prevention infrastructure.
