Mongolian delegation attending ‘Baikal trade - 2019’

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ A delegation headed by State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs D.Davaasuren is taking part in the Mongolia-Russia joint business forum, ‘Baikal Trade - 2019’ being held in Ulan-Ude, Russia on March 28-30, at the invitation of Alexey Tsydenov, Head of the Republic of Buryatia, the Russian Federation. The delegation consists of representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Road and Transport Development, Ministry of Agriculture and Light Industry, administration of the Altanbulag free zone, Customs General Administration, city administration, National Chamber of Commerce and Industry, as well as the Ulaanbaatar Railway company.



During the visit, State Secretary D.Davaasuren held an official meeting with the President of Buryatia Alexey Tsydenov and agreed to elevate bilateral trade and economic cooperation to a new level and to expand cooperation in the sectors of transport, energy and environment through mutual information exchange of state-of-the-art experiences and practices. Today, on March 29, the State Secretary met with President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Buryatia Petr Ertanov and participated in the opening ceremony of ‘Baikal trade - 2019’, delivering a speech on ‘Mongolia on the pathway to sustainable development’.

Moreover, 22 Mongolian entities are displaying their products at a trade fair of Mongolian export products, being co-organized by the commerce and industry chambers of Mongolia and Buryatia within the forum.
