Parliamentary State Secretary of German Agriculture Ministry visiting Mongolia

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. Hans-Joachim Fuchtel, Parliamentary State Secretary of Germany’s Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture, who is paying a visit to Mongolia took part in the opening ceremony of new academic year of the Mongolian University of Life Sciences on August 30. He was welcomed by Secretary of State of the Mongolia’s Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Light Industry T.Jambaltseren and Dean of the Life Sciences University T. Heruuga and the university’s teachers.
He also visited the department of science and innovation of the university and exchanged views with the university’s academic personnel on the agricultural cooperation between Mongolia and Germany and science and innovation development in the agricultural industry. Mr. Hans-Joachim Fuchtel said “Nations must join together to alleviate the environmental degradation due to climate change. Mongolia, a country with an unbounded land and wild nature and a home to a few remaining nomadic cultures has enormous possibility to sustain organic agriculture”. Mentioning the German-Mongolian cooperation project 'Sustainable Agriculture', he then expressed his delight for the collaboration between the two countries.
