Proposal made to advance agricultural cooperation with Laos

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ On January 16, during his attendance at the 28th Annual meeting of the Asia Pacific Parliamentary Forum in Australia, Speaker of the State Great Khural G.Zandanshatar met with President of the National Assembly of the Lao People's Democratic Republic Pany Yathotou.
At the
meeting, Speaker G.Zandanshatar highlighted the importance of enriching the
friendly bilateral relations with new trade and economic initiatives, saying
that there is an opportunity to carry out joint programs and projects in
agriculture. "For example, we could bring Mongolian wool and cashmere products
and meat and meat products to Laos and Lao farmers could grow rice and
run farms with us in Mongolia," he said.
Noting that Mongolian sheep relocated in Laos are being successfully bred, Ms. Pany Yathotou backed the Speaker’s proposals and undertook to inform the Lao Government of them.
